Takahashi Glass Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in Minato-ku, Tokyo with 2 million yen capital
→ The company acquired the contract for glass assembly operations of Asahi Glass Company Ltd. for Honda Motors Co., Ltd from Takahashi Glass Co., Ltd., originally founded in June, 1923.

Increased capital fund 3 million yen.The capital increase was allotted to Asahi Glass Company Ltd., and we became an affiliated company.

Suzuka plant established in Suzuka-shi, Mie-ken.

Increased capital fund 9 million yen. Kawagoe 1st plant established. (Former Kawagoe plant was organized to Kawagoe 2nd plant.)

Started selling architectural and specialized glass.

Tochigi office established in Utsunomiya-shi, Tochigi-ken.

Belletech Corp. established in Ohio, U.S.A. as a joint venture with Asahi Glass Company Ltd. And PPG Industries Inc.

Increased capital fund 27million. 49% capital ratio from Asahi Glass Company.

ACT Tech UK Co., Ltd established in UK as a joint venture company.

Tochigi office moved to Haga industrial district in Tochigi-ken

AP Mexitech Corporation established in Mexico as a joint venture company.

Became a controlled affiliate of AGC with AGC acquiring a total of 51.5% of the company.

AP CAN Tech Co., Ltd. established in Canada as a joint venture company with AP Technoglass Co., Ltd.

Acquired 80% of the issued stock of Toyo Safety Glass Co., Ltd. AP Alabama Inc. established in Alabama, USA as joint venture company with AP Technoglass Alabama Inc.

Fujisawa logistics center established in Fujisawa-shi, Kanagawa-ken

Kawasaki logistics center established in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken

Hamura plant established in Hamura-shi, Tokyo

Changed the company name to AGC Automotive Takahashi Co., Ltd.
